Our founder and principal, Hon. John E. Scipione (ret.), brings a wealth of judicial insight to our practice. With a decade of judicial experience and nearly three decades navigating the intricacies of the legal system, John E. Scipione is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and fairness.
About Our Founder & Principal

Hon. John E. Scipione (ret.)
Hon. John E. Scipione (ret.) served as a District Court Magistrate, County Court Judge, and District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District of Colorado from 2012 until 2023. During his time on the bench, Judge Scipione presided over hundreds of court and jury trials covering a vast array of legal disputes including domestic relations, criminal, civil matters, probate, and complex commercial/business litigation.
Prior to becoming a judge, John E. Scipione was a trial attorney for 18 years in private practice where he specialized in litigating insurance related matters, and serious personal injury cases.
A native New Yorker, John has called Colorado home since 1990 where he resides with his wife Kymberly, and their five children. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton (1990) and the University of Colorado School of Law (1994).
In his free time, John enjoys traveling, fishing, cooking, the ocean, DIY projects and spending time with family and friends.
